Interviews with Authors

Here at Henry Cavill Org we meet the most awesome people and have opened up our website to the fabulous authors who have either chosen Mr. Cavill as their leading man in their books or have had readers who have put him in the role of their characters all by themselves. In the case of Chris Kuhn, it is the latter. Her character Oliver in The Muse Unlocked was never thought of as Henry Cavill, but once you open the pages of the story, like me, you might be able to see Henry as the handsome young actor falling for the strong and beautiful Cate, a screenwriter stuck in a loveless marriage.   Please welcome author Chris Kuhn to our website!
We have been sharing our love for Alice Clayton and her delightfully fun bestseller, Wallbanger, with protagonist, Simon Parker since last winter. In her interview, Alice agreed with us that Henry Cavill would make a perfect Simon. She has a follow up book coming out soon that we teased Rusty Nailed last month. Now, she has a fabulous giveaway we wanted to share with you!
Our admin, Eryn LaPlant debuts her novel, Falling for Shock today and we couldn't be more excited. Eryn was inspired to write this book after watching Henry Cavill in Man of Steel. We are thrilled for her and send our congratulations! It's already getting 5 star reviews. Check it out!
About six months ago, we were approached on Twitter, by the lovely @CJ_Wells_Author. We were discussing Henry Cavill as a book boyfriend and they jumped in and told us they were writing a book and Henry was their inspiration. The fun thing about their book is its premise. Perfect Plans tells the story of Aby, a woman who’s come to a place in her life where she realises she needs to make changes if she’s going to live her best life. She ‘lands’ on one, Alexander Tate — gorgeous, talented actor — and the fun begins! Now, many months later, they are chatting with us about their book, its inspiration and the fun of enjoying Henry Cavill as their ideal book boyfriend.
So many of the books I read are due to recommendations from a ‘book friend’. I have an amazing group of social media friends who know what I love to read and recommend wonderful books to me. One day, a friend said, ‘You have to read Lesley Jones book, Saviour. It’s about a woman who’s a bit older and how she meets a younger very hot guy and what happens with them. Oh AND, the hot guy is SO Henry Cavill in my head.’ That was pretty much all it took for me to immediately upload it to my Kindle and dive in. I am so glad I did. Lesley Jones is an amazing writer who creates imagery in your head that will stay with you for a long time. She tells brutally honest, but tender love stories. Her three books, Saviour, Resolution and Carnage are among some of my…
Last winter, I had the pleasure of chatting with Alice Clayton about her delightfully fun bestseller, Wallbanger. Exciting news, fan favorites interior designer, Caroline Reynolds and sexy photographer, Simon Parker will be back again for another round of getting to know each other, laughs and of course, fun romps. In her interview, Alice Clayton agreed with us that Henry Cavill would make a perfect Simon. She shared with us this wonderful excerpt from the sequel to Wallbanger and if you read to the bottom you’ll see we have a very special giveaway!
It’s no secret I adore author, Debra Anastasia. I follow her on Twitter and her tweets and Facebook posts make me laugh out loud more than any other author or frankly, person I follow. She also writes beautiful love stories. Her book, Poughkeepsie touched my heart and remains one of my all-time favorite love stories. We interviewed her here , then I was so excited when her follow up to Poughkeepsie, Return to Poughkeepsie came out, that I had to talk to her, again. It’s also great fun, because Henry Cavill IS Beckett when I read both of those books.
Several weeks ago, we received an email from an author who said his readers had directed him to our page, because the protagonist in his novel reminded them of Henry Cavill. The author was Logan Patricks and his novel is Semblance. I wish I knew who sent him, because it was a brilliant idea. Logan not only writes a romantic and intriguing story between his protagonist Shadow and the lovely narrator, Aria, but he has a wonderful website and fabulously fun social media sites. Logan’s book Semblance, is the first in a series of books that are described as romance, but really fit into the category of romance, mystery and thriller all rolled into one amazing novel.
Here at Henry Cavill Org, we've had the great pleasure of meeting some incredible authors and reading some amazing books — all with our perfect hero in mind — Mr. Henry Cavill. Sometimes the authors have created their characters as the people came into their brains and others have pulled straight from Henry's image and personality to make their character pop. The latter is exactly what Melissa Brown did for her lovely book Unwanted Stars.
Over the past six months, I saw over and over again talk of Henry Cavill being the perfect ‘Alexander’ from the book, The Bronze Horseman. Author Paullina Simons wrote the epic romantic novel, The Bronze Horseman and followed it up with two more books, then wrote two prequels and a cookbook. After hearing it repeatedly and watching several fan made videos of The Bronze Horseman starring Henry Cavill, I decided I needed to check out the book. I cannot begin to describe how much I adored her Alexander and his love, Tatiana. I read the book every free moment I could find, and then promptly devoured the second two books in the series, Tatiana & Alexander and Summer Garden.
Sometimes social media creates ripples of excitement about an anticipated book and sometimes it creates a tidal wave. A week ago, I watched a tidal wave roar through Twitter and Facebook with a new release titled, Interview with a Master by Australian author, Jason Luke. The romance community on Facebook was abuzz with the excitement of a new erotica book about to be released described as ‘BDSM erotica from a man's POV, written by a man’. Jason Luke describes the book as a work of fiction, but he has drawn heavily on encounters from his own real life.
For months, I’d been reading tweets talking about the hilarious and wonderful story Tangled by Emma Chase. I was fortunate enough to receive a copy and the praise I had read was definitely well deserved. Emma Chase has written a funny, sweet, sometimes frustrating love story that will have you laughing and pulling your hair out. The book summary says it all.
Henry Cavill as the perfect book boyfriend has been a popular discussion on both our Twitter and Facebook page. During one of our discussions, author Jessica Lemmon told us that her inspiration for the character, Shane in her book Tempting the Billionaire was Henry Cavill. As she shares it, Jessica Lemmon has always been a dreamer. At some point, she decided head-in-the-clouds thinking was childish, went out, and got herself a job... and then she got another one because that one was lousy. And when that one stopped being fulfilling, she went out and got another... and another. Soon it became apparent she'd only be truly happy doing what she loved. And since "eating potato chips" isn't a viable career, she opted to become a writer. Lucky for us, she has had success as a writer and wrote the wonderfully Henry Cavill inspired book, Tempting the Billionaire. She was kind enough…
Olivia Caine, Dowager Duchess Helford, could not be happier to be a widow. Although her cruel husband deserved his mysterious death, Olivia had no intentions of marrying again — that is until she meets the handsome innkeeper, Edward Deckhart. But he has a dark past that places him right in the middle of the duke's murder. Olivia can't shake the feeling that he is lying by omission. Such is the plot of Nicole Castro’s “The Duchess' Ring”.   I absolutely loved it. I bought it thinking it sounded like an awesome story and soon learned that her inspiration for the main character, Edward Deckhart, was the dashing Henry Cavill. After discovering this, I was more than eager to read the book. Nicole was gracious enough to do an interview with us to talk about her book and Henry Cavill as Book Boyfriend.
Sometimes in our day to day tweeting, we find someone who not only loves Henry Cavill, but has a wonderful talent as well. This was the case with Angela Campbell. We knew from our tweet exchange that she loved Henry, but we had no idea she had written a contemporary romance with Henry as the inspiration for Zach, the protagonist. As soon as I read the opening description of Zach as tall, square jaw, thick dark hair and cobalt blue eyes, I had a distinct image in mind. Angela was kind enough to answer a few questions for us about her writing, her inspiration and Henry Cavill.
Last winter when we first started doing author interviews, Debra Anastasia graciously did one with us. She discussed her two book series Poughkeepsie and Seraphim. She also gave us a hint about her book, Return to Poughkeepsie slated to come out late 2013. She told us about the main character, Beckett “(he) is filthy and this is his story. He has a lot of demons to face. It’s shaping up to be very sexual and violent and (I hope) touching.”
Over the past six months as we have shared our interviews with romantic authors and authors inspired by Henry Cavill, we have had the good fortune to have authors reach out to us. One of those lovely authors is Eryn LaPlant. She clearly adores Henry and her historical novels sounded interesting, exciting and very romantic. We had the good fortune to catch up with Eryn and chat about her love for history, writing and of course, Henry Cavill.
Since we started sharing the idea of Book Boyfriends with readers, Sylvain Reynard’s character Gabriel Emerson has been a fan favorite. For many readers, Henry Cavill’s appearance, class and sophistication embody the character. Mr. Reynard’s books Gabriel’s Inferno and Gabriel’s Rapture have been seen on the NY Times, Amazon and iBooks best sellers lists. We first interviewed Sylvain Reynard last winter. Since that time Henry Cavill has only grown in popularity as Book Boyfriend, Professor Emerson. Last week, Gabriel’s Redemption was released and it immediately soared up the iBook charts. We couldn’t let this exciting opportunity to chat with Mr. Reynard slip by without a few questions about his series, the character of Professor Gabriel Emerson and of course, Henry Cavill.
Last winter, when we were just beginning to grow the social media for this website, we frequently came across a fun and dynamic author who told us of her soon to be released novel. The exciting thing about her story was that the main character of Ayden Stone was the spitting image of Henry Cavill. Since our initial introduction, Sydney has released the first two books in her trilogy, TouchStone for play and TouchStone for giving. With her enthusiasm and infectious energy, we were excited to interview Sydney Jamesson to hear more about her TouchStone stories and their handsome protagonist, Ayden Stone.
If you follow us on Twitter and Facebook or read our website regularly, you know we are big fans of the authors Christina Lauren. Their Beautiful Bastard series has caught the attention of readers worldwide and is even being made into a movie. The latest book in the series is Beautiful Player. Will has a history of being a womanizer with his ladies scheduled for rendezvous throughout the week. That is until Hanna comes back into his world. If you’ve enjoyed the series, then this is a must read. If you haven’t read any of their books yet, then dive in with Beautiful Player.
