It's been such fun following you on this journey for the past couple years. Did you have any idea or sense that you would be where you are today when you first started writing this story?
Hello HCO. It’s a pleasure to be with you and your readers again.
Absolutely not. When I first began writing about the Professor, I never expected anyone to read it. The entire experience has been beyond my imagination.
There was quite a stretch between the first two books, Gabriel's Inferno and Gabriel's Rapture and this last book, Gabriel's Redemption. Was it a challenge to return to their story after such a long time?
When I first constructed the outline, the series ended with “Gabriel’s Rapture.” Then within days of its publication, I received a staggering number of messages and notes, asking me for a third book.
In my mind, I knew what happened to the Emerson’s after the close of “Rapture,” but I hadn’t put it into an outline. Once I did, however, the words fell into place. But it certainly takes time to translate one’s words to the page, and then to go through the editing and publishing process.
Do you feel that the story is now complete with the Professor and Julia?
Not necessarily. We’ll see The Professor in a cameo role in my new book, “The Raven.” After that? We’ll see…
Last time we interviewed you, David Gandy had won most of the polls as the favored image for the Professor. Just recently, Henry Cavill was leading the pack as the new image of the Professor. Could you envision Henry Cavill playing the role of Professor Gabriel Emerson?
I try very hard to stay out of this discussion, simply because I want to respect the readers’ choices. Certainly, Henry Cavill’s supporters have been very enthusiastic.
We understand you have started writing another series. Can you tell us a little bit about your next book series?
Thanks for asking me about this. My next novel is “The Raven,” which is the first in a new series. It’s a paranormal love story set in contemporary Florence. As I mentioned previously, readers will encounter The Professor in a cameo role, and there may be other characters from the Gabriel series as well.

@BrownAngelEyes: Was there a hardest book in the trilogy to write?
“Gabriel’s Redemption” was challenging since it wasn’t part of my original outline, but I think it’s the volume of which I’m the most proud. I wrote it specifically for readers, in response to their requests, and I hope they enjoy it.
@Stefter: If there were to be a movie who would be your dream cast?
As I mentioned in a previous question, I’ve tried to stay out of this. Readers are very enthusiastic about their favourites and I don’t want to offend anyone.
@OfficeLadyProbz: How much of Sylvain Reynard, the person is a part of Gabriel Emerson, the character?
I think in some sense, there is part of me in him. But I try very hard not to lose my temper or to say things that would hurt other people.
Happy Holidays everyone and thanks for reading, SR.
