The talented and fun authors Christina Lauren have a new book coming out today and if you are a Henry Cavill fan, you will love it! Dirty Rowdy Thing is the second book in their, Wild Things Series. If you read their first book in the series, Sweet Filthy Boy, then you may remember the appearance of hunky, controlling Finn and fiercely independent Harlow.

“Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other... which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.”

As soon as I read the description of Finn, … Tall, broad shoulders, biceps you can swing off of, dark hair, works on a fishing boat.., you know I had Henry Cavill from the scene on the fishing boat in Man of Steel filling my head with wonderful images. Well, so did the authors and they agreed to share with us their top Five Man of Steel Moments including photos of their favorite images of Henry Cavill. Enjoy and run, don’t walk to get your copy of Dirty Rowdy Things, it may just be my favourite book of all of their books…

Is it possible to choose just five? We’ll admit that we’ve always found Henry to be attractive. We watched The Tudors—sex on the boat scene, anyone?—we swooned through Immortals, and who could forget young Henry in The Count of Monte Cristo? But it wasn’t until we saw Man of Steel that we understood the full power of Mr. Henry Cavill.

5 - The boat. Having just written a hard working fisherman ourselves (Dirty Rowdy Thing, November 4th!), we almost lost our shit when we saw Henry on the deck of that ship. Is it the beard? The tough guy that works with his hands? Or maybe the shirtless hero and the up-close shot of his abs—thank you, generous camera man—this was one hell of a way to introduce us to humble Clark Kent.

4 - The bar. Scruffy, gentle, and stands up for the woman being harassed? Our hearts melted for sweet Clark at the way he’s bullied, and how he turns the other cheek. He could have pummeled that little man into dust, but he doesn’t. Instead,he takes the high road and walks away. Oh, and impales the jerk’s semi-truck on a telephone pole. Well done, sir. Well done.

And this may be cheating, but can we talk about how sad he looks walking away from the diner? LET US HUG YOU.

3 - When he learns how to fly! This has to be everyone’s favorite scene, right? Looking up into the sun and finally, finally finding his place? And then BOOM, off he goes. And we can’t even talk about the look of sheer joy on his face as he races through the sky. We had to take a Dramamine but ALL the heart flutters.

2A - We don’t even care about cheating anymore because we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Clark standing in the kitchen with a dish towel draped over his shoulder. Domestic! Henry FTW.

2B - Anytime he’s in mortal clothes. I mean COME ON, a T-shirt was never meant to look that good on a human.

2C - Glasses! Clark!

1 - Baseball cap. We should tell you how we first saw Man of Steel. We had just done a signing in San Francisco and gone back to our room for the night. Dinner was on its way and we decided to watch a movie. Man of Steel? Sure! Oh how naïve we were. We agree with 99% of the female population that Henry Cavill is beautiful, but we were not prepared for this movie or the sight of him when he finds Lois at the cemetery in the BASEBALL CAP. We babbled incoherent words, we blinked and blinked certain he couldn’t be real. We had to actually pause the movie and get some fresh air. RIP CHRISTINA AND LAUREN.

Thank you for sharing that with us, Christina Lauren. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a wonderfully written book with the image of Henry Cavill dancing in your head!
