THE GOTHAM CAST
Our eyes were peeled for the Man of Steel, but it would turn out that he would be one of the last people to come inside the black carpet tent. In the meantime, we got pictures of Frank Miller, the man who Zack Snyder took inspiration from for his graphic novels depicting a fight between Batman and Superman, Geoff Johns (Chief Entertainment Officer for DC) and the man himself, director Zack Snyder (with wife and producer Deborah Snyder in the background). From the Batman V Superman film itself we took photos of cast members Tao Okamoto (Mercy Graves), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Rebecca Buller (Jenny Olsen), Brandon Spink (young Bruce Wayne) and Neil deGrasse Tyson (himself).
Finally, the man of the hour arrived and we knew it because everybody was shouting "Henry!", "Henry!" He chatted with the big media at the front of the line...the MTV's and Hollywood Reporters and made his way down the line. And then something amazing happened. He walked past all the media in the middle and came over to us. We asked him about how the character of Superman had changed in Batman V Superman from where he was in Man of Steel. He answered by saying that Superman is a work in progress, that he's becoming more of the person he should be, but he's not fully there yet. And then, he was distracted by a commotion. All those media people who missed their chance to talk to Henry had come running down to our end and were all crowded behind us. You can see in the video where Henry stops, looks behind us and says "that's daunting". He was so caught off guard that he had his bodyguard take a photo of it. He answered a question for somebody next to us and then was whisked away to the premiere. You can watch the whole thing in our video below.
You can see all the rest of our coverage of the Batman V Superman premiere here.
We want to give a huge thanks to our girl on the carpet, Peppergirl, for covering the New York premiere on behalf of HenryCavill.Org. We also want to send a very special thank you to Jennifer and Lindsey from Henry's team for pulling him over to us for a chat. It was very much appreciated!
