In the Discovery Channel UK's new series, Driven to Extremes, Henry Cavill, star of the new Superman film Man of Steel, and world superbike champion, Neil Hodgson, take on the Taklamakan Desert, northwestern China. Summer temperatures are a staggering 50 degrees Celsius. The duo must cross 470 miles of the largest shifting sand desert in the world, from Hami to Urumqi, where water is as scarce as life. Aldo accompanied Henry and Neil and the crew as a survival expert.

Henry Cavill does not believe in taking things slow when it comes to pursuing his career in acting. The Man of Steel star has a go big or go home attitude which helped him shoot for some high profile roles in Hollywood. Revealing in an interview recently posted by Voices From Krypton (which is actually an audio podcast for the interview we already posted last September) that he prefers to "aim high." This mentality may be the reason he went from being dubbed "The Unluckiest Man in Hollywood" to "Breakout Star of 2013" and even more reason why he would be up for taking on the role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades movies.

No matter what reservations, hangups or cautious optimism you may be harboring for Man of Steel and the man who’s playing him, Henry Cavill, one thing is becoming very clear: Henry is Superman. Or at least his performance has his fellow cast members and crew fully convinced that he is absolutely the best man for the gig. With months and months still to go before Man of Steel hits theaters, all signs are pointing to a fantastic performance from Henry Cavill as Superman.
Superman actor Henry Cavill has split up with his international showjumper fiancee Ellen Whitaker. They have called time on their three-year romance just as Henry is shooting to Hollywood stardom – Superman Man Of Steel is due out next year and Henry is reportedly being earmarked for a starring role in the forthcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey movie.
