Have you followed Henry Cavill's career since he left Jersey?
Well, I'm not actually from Jersey, but moved here 5 years ago so I knew nothing of Henry's career until I met his brother through a mutual friend. I was then an avid viewer of The Tudors and I suppose took an interest in his career after that. I have no doubt the Superman movie will propel him into the world of superstardom!
What was the reaction locally when it was announced that Henry was cast in the role of Superman?
People are incredibly proud. It is such a small island, only 100,000 people live here and there are so many people who know Henry or know someone who knows him that it's easy to see why he has so much support locally. Plus, being such a good looking chap I know that he's hugely popular with the ladies!
Is this the first premiere to be held in Jersey? If not, what other movies have premiered there?
I think it will be the first premiere where Hollywood A-listers are set to attend. There have been special events laid on for certain films such as a Sex and the City, but nothing like the Man of Steel premiere. I guess that's because we've never had such a successful actor originate from the island before! So, this will be a first.
How is Jersey preparing for the premiere? Lots of our fans are hoping it will be live-streamed so they can see Henry returning to his home to celebrate the release of Man of Steel. Will you be there for the event?
People are getting very excited. Much of the detail is yet to emerge so I guess we'll find out more about how to get tickets nearer the time. I'm sure the area around the cinema will be mobbed though! My parents happen to be visiting that weekend and they are big fans so I'm hoping to take them along to the event. Also, I met Henry at his brother's 40th birthday party in November and I'm looking forward to saying hi again - so yes I will be there with bells on!
