Some critics say the Batman V Superman's lack of cohesion was horrible, while others say it was a fan service for the die-hard comic book fans who hold Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent dear to their hearts. But whatever the critics’ stance on the film, one thing's for sure: Snyder's cinematography was unbelievable and has set the benchmark for future DC films.

Zack Snyder is known for his signature dark and heavy cinematic style. Talking to, Fabian Wagner shared an image of the upcoming Justice League movie, and he said his work is a nod to the cinematography used by Synder in his most recent film.

"Last year I was fortunate enough to work with Zack Snyder on his new movie Justice League," said Wagner. "I had always been a fan of his work and of his long time cinematographer Larry Fong. I tried to put my own stamp onto it but Larry's dark and beautiful lighting was a huge source of inspiration. I had the best time working with all of those guys."

Wagner is not a greenhorn when it comes to doing TV shows and movies that require a dark and heavy background. The cinematographer may not have a lot of experience working with Batman, Superman, or any other DC character for that matter, although he has recently directed six Game of Thrones episodes for HBO.

Superman's appearance in the Justice League

Things didn't end well for Clark Kent at the end of the Batman V Superman movie. He sacrificed himself to save Batman, Wonder Woman, Lois, and the entire city from Luthor's madness. However, despite Superman's questionable death at the end of the movie, it would seem that he will feature in the upcoming Justice League movie. Henry Cavill was spotted standing right next to his co-stars and director during CinemaCon - an annual convention held in Las Vegas.

DC's segment at CinemaCon started with a presentation focusing on the upcoming DC Comics movies to be released in 2017. Then, a quick video of Snyder was shown where he thanked the people involved in the distribution of Batman V Superman. In the video it showed Snyder surrounded by the main cast of the Justice League including Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Ezra Miller (The Flash), and Henry Cavill (Superman). The video somewhat proves that Cavill will be present in the upcoming Justice League film even if it only documents the demise of Superman.

The upcoming Justice League film is set to net DC huge profits this year. DC has already begun releasing content for consumers to purchase in the run up to the film’s release. The most recent release came in the form of Justice League: Dark an animated film that featured antihero John Constantine. DC has also kept some of its old proprietary games running in order for its superheroes to have a wider presence online. BGT Games features the The Dark Knight Rises slot game which is still one of the most popular DC games populating the internet right now. And it is only a matter of time before the digital world sees a Justice League adaptation and DC endeavor to cash in globally on what is expected to be one of the biggest films of 2017.

Justice League is slated for release on November 17, 2017.
